Anforderungen
- Understanding of public blockchain networks, Bitcoin and Ethereum
- Comfortable working with technical teams and third-party providers
- Operating in regulated financial-services environment
- Professional experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Technology Risk, or related technical field
- Good understanding of cloud security principles and controls (preferably Azure)
- Knowledge of information protection, encryption, cryptography, identity/access controls, data security
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and decentralized networks
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and Ethereum concepts (transactions, addresses, wallets, keys, validation, finality)
- Ability to understand technical architectures and evaluate security implications
- Experience working with third-party technology providers (oversight, change management, risk assessment, service management)
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security services and controls
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Key Vault, HSMs, key management, or information-protection technologies
- Knowledge of cryptographic key lifecycle management, post-quantum cryptography, secure key custody
- Previous exposure to digital assets, crypto custody, blockchain infrastructure, or financial-market technology
- Understanding of security considerations for wallets, signing processes, blockchain transactions, digital-asset custody
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and technology-risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of quantum computing effects and cryptography issues (plus)
- Relevant security or cloud certifications (advantage)
- Security-first mindset and curiosity about emerging technologies
- Ability to understand Bitcoin and Ethereum technical level
- Ability to identify security implications of technology changes
- Engage confidently with specialists and external providers
- Information security expertise

- Strong stakeholder-management skills
- Comfortable operating at intersection of traditional banking technology and digital assets
Aufgaben
- Support implementation, operation, and improvement of information security controls
- Focus on security controls in cloud environments
- Contribute to security oversight of Microsoft Azure services and architectures
- Support information protection, data security, and cryptographic controls
- Assess security requirements and risks for new solutions and technology changes
- Participate in security reviews and define/monitor remediation actions
- Work with stakeholders to ensure security controls throughout the service lifecycle
- Contribute to managing security risks from external and third-party providers
- Support technical and security oversight of BBVA's Crypto Custody service
- Coordinate and supervise changes to the Crypto Custody platform and service
- Assess security and operational implications of Crypto Custody changes
- Act as technical counterpart to the custody technology provider
- Challenge and validate proposed changes from the custody provider
- Understand and assess impact of changes to supported blockchain protocols and networks
- Focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum protocol and network changes
- Participate in analysis of incidents, vulnerabilities, and technical events affecting custody
- Support assessment and monitoring of crypto-asset custody security controls
- Assess key management, cryptography, transaction security, and access management controls
- Assess operational resilience controls for crypto-asset custody
- Facilitate coordination between Security, Technology, external providers, and stakeholders
- Document policies, norms, and procedures for physical and technological security
- Participate in defining procedures for physical and technological security
