Anforderungen
- Master's or Engineering student in data science, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in reaction kinetics, mechanistic modelling, dynamic systems, and data science
- Experience with Python and gPROMS or another process modelling tool (strong plus)
- Interest in spectroscopy and chemometrics; knowledge of UV-Vis or PLS (advantage)
- Practical laboratory experience and strong attention to data quality and reproducibility
- Knowledge of Kalman filtering (plus)
- Curiosity, rigor, proactivity, and ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Fluent English
Aufgaben
- Support development and evaluation of UV-Vis soft sensor.
- Perform data preprocessing and chemometric data treatment.
- Develop kinetic reaction models using gPROMS and/or Python to describe conjugation species evolution.
- Compare kinetic model structures, estimate parameters, and assess predictive performance.
- Validate kinetic model against independent experimental or offline data.
- Combine kinetic model with soft sensor data using Extended Kalman Filter.
- Evaluate hybrid model's ability to update reaction state and predict progress.
- Identify data gaps.
- Design and perform additional small-scale conjugation experiments.
- Analyze model performance, robustness, and limitations.
- Plan and execute experiments with PAT, modelling, and process experts.
- Ensure accurate recording and traceability of experimental conditions and results.
- Develop Python tools for data preparation, visualization, and analysis.
- Present results during project reviews and prepare final technical report.
