Anforderungen
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced studies in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field within last 12 months
- Eagerness to gain practical industry experience in a dynamic laboratory setting
- Strong theoretical and practical foundation in organic chemistry and wet-lab chemical formulation
- Sound knowledge of enzymes, enzyme kinetics, and biochemical reaction mechanisms
- High self-organization, analytical problem-solving skills, and structured approach to experimental design
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in English
- Interest or experience in electrochemistry or analytical techniques
- Basic understanding or curiosity about packaging materials, active foils, and leachables/extractables testing
- Non-EU/EFTA citizens: actively enrolled and provide university certificate stating internship is mandatory
Aufgaben
- Identify and evaluate small organic molecules for oxygen depletion kinetics
- Analyze electrochemical behavior of organic molecules to minimize sensor interference
- Assess and validate enzyme-based systems as oxygen scavengers
- Investigate active scavenging polymer laminates and pouch foils
- Conduct leachables and extractables testing on packaging materials
- Apply electrochemical, spectroscopic, and chromatographic methods for testing
- Measure oxygen consumption rates and characterize matrix interactions
- Synthesize experimental results and assess formulation viability
- Present technical summaries and recommendations to the R&D team
