Anforderungen
- Law Degree
- Admitted to practice law in any jurisdiction (common law preferred)
- Minimum 6 years PQE, ideally with private practice and in-house experience
- Experience in agricultural, food, commodity trading company
- Experience with industry specific contracts (e.g. GAFTA, FOSFA, SAL/RSA)
- Experience in dry shipping queries and dispute resolution (LMAA, SIAC)
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player and collaborative approach
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Commercial and pragmatic mindset
- Ability to assess situations quickly and propose solutions
- Ability to translate complexity into simple solutions and provide feedback
- Ability to work within a small team and across geographies
- Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
Aufgaben
- Provide business-oriented legal advice to internal clients on commodity trading
- Provide legal support to trading and shipping operations
- Assist with day-to-day trading and shipping operations
- Resolve disputes related to trading and shipping
- Support trade and business development activities
- Structure, draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on agreements
- Manage arbitration and litigation throughout the region
- Supervise and manage external counsel when necessary
