Anforderungen
- BS/MS with 1–4+ years of experience, or PhD graduates with strong software engineering skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and standard software engineering practices (Git, testing, CI/CD)
- Experience building applications utilizing LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and function calling
- Familiarity with containerization and backend development frameworks
- Ability to work independently on defined engineering tasks and deliver robust solutions
- Eagerness to learn from senior engineers and scientists
- Strong interest in applying software engineering to drug discovery
- Commitment to patient impact
- Experience with molecular modalities or scientific data is a plus, but not required
- General interest in natural sciences (chemistry, biology, or physics)
Aufgaben
- Develop backend components and tooling for scientific agents
- Create Python wrappers and API definitions for model task execution
- Build backend services using FastAPI/Flask to serve agent capabilities
- Implement data pipelines for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Ensure models have access to up-to-date proprietary scientific data
- Write Dockerfiles for infrastructure maintenance
- Set up CI/CD pipelines for agent components
- Ensure automated testing for agent components
- Integrate models into the execution environment
- Handle inference requests and validate structured outputs
- Write modular, well-tested code adhering to software engineering standards
- Collaborate with computational scientists and subject matter experts
- Design and evaluate targeted agents for drug discovery
- Contribute to frontier research on agentic use in scientific scenarios
