Anforderungen
- Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline
- 8–10 years industrial experience, ideally in chemical industry; experience in active ingredient or intermediate manufacturing advantageous
- Expertise in chemical process development, design, scale-up, and manufacturing support
- Practical experience in process simulation and modelling
- Experience with Aspen Plus preferred; other simulation tools considered
- Practical experience with laboratory, pilot, or plant trials
- Strong knowledge of process safety, reaction hazards, HSEQ, Management of Change, and regulatory constraints
- Experience commissioning processes and supporting technical start-up, including FAT and automation collaboration
- Ability to work autonomously on complex projects, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior colleagues is an advantage
- Senior individual contributor role focused on technical leadership and expertise
- Professional fluency in English required; knowledge of French is an asset
Aufgaben
- Provide technical leadership for chemical processes
- Develop process know-how for assigned chemical steps
- Ensure processes are safe, compliant, robust, and sustainable
- Collaborate with production, project teams, chemists, and global technical networks
- Lead technical development, scale-up, and implementation of chemical processes
- Define and agree on development programs with stakeholders
- Plan, oversee, and carry out laboratory, pilot, and plant trials
- Provide technical leadership for complex process-engineering projects
- Perform process simulation, design, sizing, and equipment specification
- Act as a key technical contact for project teams
- Support commissioning and technical start-up of new or modified plants
- Provide expert technical support to manufacturing teams
- Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for process issues
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Define key process parameters and control strategies
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve capacity, quality, costs, waste, and energy consumption
- Support process transfer and relocation projects
- Provide technical input to Process Risk Assessments
- Ensure process design meets HSEQ and regulatory requirements
- Coach and develop less experienced process engineers
- Share technical knowledge and local ways of working
- Build and maintain connections with internal technical networks
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of innovative technologies
