Anforderungen
- Swiss Federal Diploma as Specialist in Finance and Accounting or Fiduciary Specialist, or equivalent international qualification (ACCA, CPA)
- At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in industry, life sciences or manufacturing
- Confident closing under Swiss Code of Obligations (CO)
- Hands-on experience with IFRS or US GAAP
- Experience within internal control system under Swiss law; experience in building and documenting is advantageous
- Track record of process improvements and automation in ERP systems
- Knowledge of Business Central or Navision is advantageous
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience with Power Query or Power BI is a plus
- Fluent German
- Very good English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week
- Hands-on mindset
- High accuracy
- Enjoyment in understanding processes thoroughly and making them better
Aufgaben
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for the Swiss entity in Visp
- Support financial closings for other Swiss entities
- Serve as the expert contact for financial accounting, reporting, and controls
- Improve existing processes, including internal control systems and ERP automation
- Manage accruals, provisions, fixed asset accounting, and account reconciliations
- Ensure intercompany reconciliations and resolve differences
- Prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor requests
- Ensure VAT returns and tax closings with external advisors
- Support transition to international accounting standards
- Own reporting and reconciliations under IFRS or US GAAP
- Build the internal control system under Swiss law
- Document processes, risks, and controls for the organization
- Update work instructions and accounting policies
- Act as system and process owner for Finance and ERP
- Define and monitor key controls and segregation of duties
- Own the development of the record-to-report process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Prioritize and drive automation initiatives in the ERP
- Test new ERP functionality and changes
- Ensure clean master data in the ERP
