Anforderungen
- University or technical college degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar
- 7-10+ years hands-on engineering experience in complex manufacturing, ideally Space or Aerospace
- Hands-on mentality
- Customer and product-oriented mindset
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Advantageous: manufacturing technologies experience and basic materials science knowledge
- SAP know-how
- Lean manufacturing or operational excellence know-how
- Production line leadership experience
- Experience with MES (SAP), CAD, and other relevant complex software
- Experience in composite and metallic structures
Aufgaben
- Plan, coordinate, and review project work in Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Testing (MAIT)
- Update and report manufacturing status to project management and teams
- Develop integration and alignment concepts and associated tooling
- Support design for manufacturability and design-to-cost
- Attend design reviews with system engineering, design, procurement, and suppliers
- Check internal manufacturability with assembly and test technicians
- Perform manufacturability reviews of manufacturing documents
- Support system engineering with verification
- Specify jigs and tools (MGSE, EGSE) concepts, design, and quantities
- Estimate production time and resources for initial models and non-recurring activities
- Provide and commission jigs and tools for the production team
- Ensure product quality through production regulations, inspections, and procedures
- Own the MAIT-Plan, including flows, layouts, and assembly procedures
- Drive troubleshooting within production and act as the first point of contact for technicians
- Continuously improve process capability, quality, and efficiency
- Drive automation within operations
- Support procurement with adherence to technical specifications for complex procurements
- Present MAIT activities, including to customers
- Support proposal work and claim management
- Advise engineering and project management on shipment/delivery know-how
- Advise engineering and operations on certification and machine guideline know-how
- Support and act as deputy for the ME Manager
- Train and sponsor new employees and interns
- Perform proposal work and cost estimation for new projects
- Establish MAIT concepts for new projects and evaluate feasibility
- Lead industrialization efforts for site-level new products and processes
