- Fast and correct numerical code, including model-solver interaction

- Compiler, DSL or type-system work (nice to have)

- Production planning, supply chain or logistics domain knowledge (nice to have)
- Structured and action-oriented
- Prioritization of product deadlines over research freedom
- Preference for measuring over rewriting engines
- Willingness to work outside own abstraction
- Acceptance of data work as part of the role

- Model real customer problems
- Define engine capabilities and limitations
- Model planning problems including capacities, costs, lead times, and shift plans
- Process data from ERP and Excel exports
- Catch invalid data before customers do
- Generate answers people can act on
- Explain model improvements and defend them
- Provide usable output for impossible scenarios
- Identify colliding rules and costs to change them
- Scale models across sites, periods, and constraints
- Ensure concurrent customer problem solving
- Build, ship, and run features in production
