  • Own the finance function end-to-end
  • Manage accounting, controlling, and reporting
  • Oversee tax and annual financial statements
  • Ensure accurate, timely, founder-ready numbers
  • Use financial data to aid business decisions
  • Lead and build the finance team from scratch
  • Hire, guide, and develop finance team members
  • Amplify the output of the entire finance team
  • Build and scale finance systems, processes, and controls
  • Develop automated finance operations
  • Create financial forecasts
  • Own the forward view of planning and budgeting
  • Track cash, runway, and burn rate
  • Anticipate future financial needs and steer towards them
  • Manage compensation, bonus structures, and performance reviews
  • Build and operate people systems for rewards and growth
  • Govern risk, compliance, and controls
  • Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and authorities
  • Support the firm's growth through new deals and business units
  • Develop the finance backbone into a platform for firm-wide growth
