- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent certifications/experience
- Deep hands-on engineering implementing security controls (endpoint, identity, cloud, network, application)
- Solid understanding of core security domains and interactions
- Technical audit mindset for verifying compliance
- Proficiency in log analysis and security telemetry for incident troubleshooting
- Basic to intermediate scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation
- Clear communication of technical risk and ownership
- Specialist depth in cloud, endpoint/identity, network, or application security
- Relevant certifications (OSCP, GIAC, CISSP, SC-200, AZ-500) and framework experience (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Affiliation with countries listed under § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may affect application process

- Design, implement, and maintain security controls
- Define exact configurations and policies for protection
- Verify IT and engineering team configurations against security baselines
- Provide guidance to close security gaps
- Safeguard access through strong authentication and least privilege
- Implement privileged access controls across the environment
- Use security monitoring and telemetry to detect threats
- Investigate the root cause of security alerts
- Coordinate remediation efforts for security incidents
- Develop and maintain secure configuration baselines
- Define engineering standards for secure systems
- Automate security checks using scripting
- Streamline incident response through automation
- Integrate disparate security tools
- Produce clear technical documentation
- Translate complex security requirements into runbooks
