Aufgaben
- Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations in Germany
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
- Oversee external accounting/tax advisor and DATEV-based accounting
- Provide timely financial reporting packages
- Lead the annual budgeting process with functional leaders
- Establish budgets, assumptions, and spending accountability
- Oversee ongoing forecasting and long-range planning
- Perform budget-to-actual analysis, including quarterly accruals
- Proactively identify material variances and financial risks
- Prepare financial reporting and deviation analysis for senior management, Board, and shareholders
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury
- Perform short- and medium-term cash forecasting
- Manage bank relationships
- Oversee accounts payable, procurement, and payment approvals
- Ensure appropriate financial and budget controls
- Establish and improve financial policies, processes, and internal controls
- Coordinate annual financial statement audits
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Manage relationships with other finance-related service providers
- Oversee German statutory and tax compliance
- Coordinate HGB financial statements and corporate tax
- Coordinate trade tax and VAT requirements
- Manage intercompany accounting and financial processes
- Manage intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation
- Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting, and automation
- Create a scalable finance infrastructure
- Support introduction of US GAAP or IFRS reporting
- Act as finance contact for payroll and insurance
- Act as finance contact for banks and corporate housekeeping
- Support clarification of tax and accounting aspects of employee equity programs
- Build up and lead a finance team
