Anforderungen
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
- Software development and maintenance experience using object-oriented methodologies
- Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle
- Experience with Linux environments and modern software development practices
- Familiarity with configuration management, version control, and CI/CD
- Software verification, validation, testing, and acceptance activities experience
- Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Very good command of English, written and spoken
- Experience with Mission Planning Systems or satellite ground segment software
- Knowledge of DevOps, container technologies, and automated deployment
- Experience in operational or mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS
- Knowledge of ECSS, CCSDS, or similar space industry standards
- Previous experience in European space sector, EUMETSAT, ESA, or related programmes
- Ability to work in international and multidisciplinary environment
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Willingness to support operational systems and continuous service improvement
Aufgaben
- Support development, maintenance, and evolution of Mission Planning Systems
- Develop and maintain associated software tools
- Contribute to software engineering across the full lifecycle
- Perform testing, verification, and validation of software deliveries
- Prepare test data, test procedures, and execute test campaigns
- Analyze test results
- Support software deployment and configuration
- Perform software maintenance and operational readiness activities
- Contribute to setup and maintenance of automated software development environments
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized solutions, and testing infrastructures
- Develop and maintain auxiliary applications and tools
- Support mission planning and operational activities
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams
- Gather requirements from external suppliers
- Investigate anomalies
- Support software releases
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
- Create knowledge base material
- Prepare engineering reports
- Evaluate new technologies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to prototype developments
