Anforderungen
- University degree (master or above) in computer science, mathematics, or natural sciences
- Deep hands-on expertise with various HPC interconnects
- Experience with various flavors of Message-Passing Interface
- Understanding of MPI communication patterns and network interaction
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Proficiency with compiled programming languages (e.g. C, C++)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Shell, Python)
- Analytical mindset with structured fault isolation and performance tuning approach
- Excellent German and English writing and speaking skills
- Willingness to share experience and review processes for team improvement
- Familiarity with GPU-to-GPU communication
- Knowledge of parallel file system networking
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to develop and implement solutions autonomously and in a team

Aufgaben
- Operate, maintain, and optimize high-speed interconnects
- Ensure low latency and high throughput for HPC workloads
- Deploy, configure, and manage network switches
- Deploy, configure, and manage fabric management software
- Deploy, configure, and manage host-software stacks
- Monitor fabric health and diagnose link errors
- Resolve interconnect performance bottlenecks
- Run benchmarks and characterize interconnect performance
- Tune network performance for MPI, distributed file systems, and storage
- Collaborate with HPC system administrators, storage engineers, and application teams
- Optimize end-to-end data paths
- Evaluate and recommend new interconnect hardware and technologies
- Hunt and fix interconnect bugs
- Collaborate with vendors to fix bugs
- Maintain detailed network topology documentation
- Contribute to the development of certified processes
- Contribute to the implementation of certified processes
- Contribute to the development of transparent processes
- Contribute to the implementation of transparent processes
