Anforderungen

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional experience in export compliance, customs, international trade operations, or logistics
Experience in technology, electronics, or comparable international industrial environment preferred
Strong knowledge of AWG, AWV, EU Dual-Use Regulation, UCC, and ATLAS
Hands-on experience with BAFA, export licensing, and customs processes
Experience with dual-use classifications, technology transfer reviews, and restricted-party screening
Knowledge of U.S. EAR, OFAC, and BIS requirements highly desirable
Strong analytical thinking and risk assessment capabilities
Strong stakeholder and project management skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with continuous improvement mindset
Professional fluency in German and English

Aufgaben

Ensure compliance with German, European, and international trade regulations
Manage import/export, customs, logistics, and transportation activities
Oversee global trade compliance processes, export controls, and customs operations
Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations
Work closely with internal stakeholders, customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, and external partners
Continuously improve processes, systems, and compliance controls
Support the organization in navigating complex international trade environments
Ensure compliance with German and European export control regulations (AWG, AWV, EU Dual-Use)
Manage BAFA export licensing processes, documentation, and authorizations
Perform and oversee dual-use classifications and technology transfer reviews (categories 3, 4, 5, 6)
Ensure effective restricted-party and sanctions screening (EU, OFAC, BIS)
Support compliance with U.S. EAR and re-export control requirements
Maintain complete and audit-ready export compliance documentation
Manage end-to-end import and export operations under the Union Customs Code (UCC)
Ensure accurate customs documentation (EORI, declarations, certificates of origin, invoices, packing lists)
Manage and assess tariffs, duties, VAT, and trade agreement requirements
Coordinate with customs authorities, customs brokers, and freight forwarders
Support vendor screening and applicable EU, U.S., and Chinese trade restrictions
Oversee international transportation activities (air, sea, road, rail)
Optimize transportation routes, logistics costs, and carrier performance
Manage 3PL/4PL providers, logistics relationships, and relevant KPIs
Maintain and develop trade programs and certifications (AEO, Approved Exporter, Authorized Exporter, REX)
Support applications, audits, certifications, and renewals for trade programs
Operate and continuously improve ATLAS import/export processes
Develop and maintain SOPs, compliance controls, and governance processes
Drive automation, reporting, and continuous process improvements in trade compliance and logistics
