- Determine net requirements for components, considering alternative materials and suppliers
- Obtain, evaluate, and renegotiate supplier quotes
- Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system
- Coordinate and track delivery dates, communicating them to production and planning
- Initiate measures to secure delivery dates when delays occur
- Maintain and update material and supplier master data in the ERP system
- Support complaint processing with relevant interfaces
- Identify potential new suppliers
- Support make-or-buy decisions
