Anforderungen
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
- 12+ years procurement experience in technical manufacturing
- 5+ years leadership experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Materials Management
- Experience in vacuum technology or high-tech equipment manufacturing
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ideally hands-on experience with Vacuum Technology (HV/UHV) and vacuum components
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with suppliers and internal teams
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English and German skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to negotiate, present, and communicate effectively in international and cross-functional teams
- Strong capability to conduct technical and commercial discussions in English
- Experience working in a global and multicultural business environment
Aufgaben
- Provide leadership to the BTP Purchasing organization
- Support employee development and organizational capabilities
- Select, develop, and manage strategic supplier performance
- Ensure on-time material availability
- Proactively manage supply chain risks and capacity constraints
- Meet customer and production requirements
- Lead procurement for product development projects
- Lead procurement for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
- Lead procurement for industrialization projects
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management
- Drive cost reduction initiatives
- Drive process improvement initiatives
- Drive digitalization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement Materials Management strategy
- Continuously improve key performance indicators
- Continuously improve supplier performance
- Continuously improve organizational effectiveness
- Lead supplier escalations for quality, delivery, capacity, and technical performance
- Coach and mentor team members
- Develop succession plans for the team
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Global Commodity Management, and Supplier Quality teams
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement
