Aufgaben
- Sample SML and underlying water in northern Germany
- Participate in research cruise across the Atlantic
- Measure activity of specific bacterial groups
- Extract nucleic acids
- Prepare metagenomic and metatranscriptomic samples
- Analyze data bioinformatically
- Co-supervise MSc students in the laboratory
- Aim for a doctoral thesis comprising three papers
- Present results at international conferences and project meetings
- Collaborate closely with project partners
