- Deep expertise in Azure networking (Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, Hub & Spoke)
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, cloud observability
- Enjoy challenging architectures and passion for emerging technologies (Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, intelligent network automation)
- Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking (desired)
- Passion for learning new technologies and sharing knowledge
- Ability to simplify complex networking topics for different audiences
- Helping other engineering teams build secure and scalable solutions
Aufgaben
- Drive the evolution of enterprise networking strategy
- Build intelligent, resilient, and security-first cloud connectivity
- Design highly available Azure networking solutions
- Design next-level monitoring solutions using KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor
- Proactively detect anomalies and monitor ExpressRoute connectivity
- Identify business-critical issues before they become incidents
- Modernize network security architecture
- Analyze and challenge existing network designs
- Implement Azure Firewall Premium capabilities
- Refine Network Security Group strategy
- Enhance micro segmentation
- Evolve network environment towards enterprise standards
- Improve network scalability and reduce operational costs
- Establish Infrastructure as Prompt as a strategic capability
- Explore AI-driven infrastructure management
- Design and establish governance guardrails for Azure networking platform
- Develop concepts for decentralized network management
- Develop disaster recovery strategies
- Challenge existing backup concepts
- Design automated failover testing and recovery simulations
- Ensure Azure network platform can be restored quickly and reliably
- Build an intelligent security platform by integrating Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender
- Integrate advanced network telemetry
- Automatically detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats
- Continuously enhance security posture using automation
- Collaborate across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams
- Share networking expertise
- Support cross-team troubleshooting
- Optimize connectivity and routing between environments
- Work closely with teams operating Sophos-based network infrastructure
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear architectural recommendations
- Support strategic decision-making with decision papers
- Explore future network security technologies, including ZTNA
- Evolve enterprise connectivity strategy
