- Build automated pipelines for data projects
- Excellent troubleshooting of data infrastructure and performance bottlenecks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for Climate Science and Data Engineering
- Organised, detail-oriented, motivated self-starter with analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English
Aufgaben
- Build and operate the data platform for advanced analytics and climate modelling
- Manage DevOps and data engineering work for the data platform
- Transition the platform from single-server deployments to separated environments
- Implement orchestration and infrastructure as code for the platform
- Establish and improve platform operational practices
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for the platform
- Perform capacity planning and performance optimisation for the platform
- Design and implement the access, identity, and secrets model
- Contribute to standardisation of production data workflows
- Contribute to platform standards across the organisation
- Document built components, including runbooks and architecture notes
- Create handover material for built components
- Provide technical guidance to data analysts and scientists
- Support adoption of good practice in DataOps, security, and governance
- Evaluate new tools and technologies for infrastructure
- Run proof-of-concepts for new tools and technologies
- Help define the technical roadmap for infrastructure
