Anforderungen
- 5+ years in DevOps, platform or systems engineering
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code experience
- In-depth AWS knowledge (IAM, networking, multi-account)
- Strong Linux administration (hardening, bare-metal servers)
- Docker and Kubernetes experience
- CI/CD pipeline building experience (ideally GitLab)
- Solid networking understanding (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, segmentation)
- Python and Bash scripting and automation
- Security mindset (least privilege, secrets management, auditability)
- Fluent English and German
- Willingness to work on-site in Berlin, travel occasionally, undergo security clearance
- Ownership and proactive work pushing
- Clear communication and smooth collaboration
- Pragmatic mindset (balancing security and productivity)
- Documentation of built systems
- AWS and/or Terraform certifications
- Experience with air-gapped or offline environments
- Experience in regulated environments (public sector, KRITIS, finance)
- Private cloud experience (e.g. OpenStack)
- Operating GPU servers or ML infrastructure (workload schedulers)
- Familiarity with BSI IT-Grundschutz or ISO 27001
- Observability with Prometheus, Grafana or similar
Aufgaben
- Build and operate secure environments across cloud and on-premises
- Make products deployable in isolated customer environments
- Help engineers ship models and services securely
- Design and run isolated, access-controlled cloud environments with Infrastructure as Code
- Implement separated storage and compute with need-to-know access
- Run on-premises compute environment end to end
- Harden, patch, manage access, and audit log on-premises infrastructure
- Manage on-premises backups and GPU workloads
- Enable offline installation and updates without internet access
- Support engineers deploying into customer-operated networks
- Implement and document technical controls in line with BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO 27001
- Support audits and certifications
- Build logging, monitoring, and forensic readiness for incident detection and investigation
- Set practices for secure deployment, secrets management, and least-privilege access
