Anforderungen
- 5-10 years post-qualification experience in leading law firm and/or multinational in-house legal team
- Achieved at least satisfactory results in both German State Examinations
- Extensive experience advising on project development, construction law, procurement
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts
- Supported large-scale projects in renewable energy, industrial, chemicals, utilities, mining
- Knowledge of project delivery and construction frameworks (VOB/B, FIDIC)
- Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory requirements, public law matters
- Experience managing contractual claims, disputes, and risk matters
- Effective work with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
- Work across multiple jurisdictions and business functions
- Strong commercial judgment
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Confidence to engage with senior leadership and project executives
- Highly organized, resilient, and adaptable
- Act with integrity and discretion
- Effective communication
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Aufgaben
- Draft, review, and negotiate project agreements (EPCM, EPC, D&C, framework, consultancy)
- Advise on contractual rights, obligations, and claims prevention
- Develop effective risk mitigation strategies
- Support sourcing, tendering, and contracting activities
- Conduct commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and partners
- Drive contractual consistency across projects
- Contribute to standard contract development
- Participate in project governance and risk reviews
- Provide legal support across the project lifecycle (origination, development, construction, operations)
- Support land acquisition activities and permitting processes
- Secure regulatory approvals
- Advise on contract structures and commercial arrangements
- Develop risk allocation strategies for project delivery
- Engage with governmental authorities, landowners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop contracting strategies
- Draft, review, and negotiate operational agreements (maintenance, service, works, hire)
- Provide legal guidance on operational contract management
- Support business stakeholders in managing contractual risks
- Lead legal management of claims from construction, procurement, and commercial contracts
- Assess contractual entitlements, liabilities, and potential exposure
- Develop claims strategies with cross-functional teams
- Prepare and review notices, claims submissions, and responses
- Coordinate external legal counsel and experts in litigation and arbitration
