- Outstanding scientific qualification in process systems engineering, chemical engineering, bioengineering, or related discipline with connection to process simulation
- Identifiable research profile in process simulation, modeling of unit operations, processes, and process chains in particle technology, ideally with data-driven and AI-based approaches
- Strong track record of scientific achievements (e.g., publications) and potential for development in research and teaching
- Openness to interdisciplinary collaboration between chemical engineering, mathematics, and natural sciences
- Initial experience in teaching and student supervision, or strong motivation for teaching development
- Willingness to acquire external research funding and promote research transfer to industry

- Conduct research in process simulation, numerical foundations, and modeling approaches
- Develop and integrate AI methods for product design, process development, and simulation
- Investigate scale-up strategies and techno-economic assessment through simulation
- Address data quality, integration, and management for process simulation
- Contribute to research-oriented teaching in process simulation and computational methods
- Develop topic-specific courses and supervise student projects
- Contribute to the development of new software tools
- Establish contacts with industrial partners and contribute to training programs
