- Conceive and design optical and precision optical systems, and construct, assemble, and test prototypes.
- Participate in product development and collaborate with electronics, mechanics, and process development departments for manufacturing designs.
- Simulate and develop optical systems using sequential and non-sequential ray tracing.
- Create optical system tolerance analyses, working closely with design and internal production.
