Anforderungen
- Master's or PhD in energy systems, climate, environmental science, engineering, or economics
- Knowledge of integrated assessment modelling and mitigation scenario analysis
- Proficient programmer with Python for data analysis and version-controlled workflows
- Experience with IAMC-format scenario data; integrated assessment modelling framework experience is a plus
- Experience writing methodologies and results in reports, publications, or policy materials
- Fluency in English and good presentation skills
Aufgaben
- Contribute to or lead cross-model innovation gap analysis
- Design and run surveys across modelling teams
- Maintain the ranked gap inventory
- Quantify residual gross emissions by sector and gap across three global IAMs
- Contribute to or develop analytics around the modelling protocol
- Perform diagnostic checks of scenario submissions against the protocol
- Document harmonized assumptions and remaining differences across models
- Contribute to or develop cross-model synthesis comparing new pathways to existing literature
- Prepare scenario submissions to the Scenario Compass Initiative
- Facilitate FAIR publication of scenario data
- Support embedding of methodological guardrails into scenario parameterization and design
- Contribute to implementation of model advances in MESSAGEix
- Support scenario extractions and analysis for national fossil fuel phase-out roadmap development
- Process multi-model scenario data into consistent indicators, figures, and statistics
- Develop version-controlled, reproducible code for data processing
- Contribute to or lead written outputs, including reports and scientific papers
- Present methods and results to technical and non-technical audiences
