Serve as a trusted partner to R&D stakeholders
Advise on legal and regulatory issues throughout product development
Advise on clinical research, data use, and privacy
Advise on vendor and site arrangements
Advise on implementing global programs in local legal environments
Provide business-focused legal advice to R&D stakeholders
Advise on clinical trial design, start-up, and conduct
Advise on human-subject research
Advise on informed consent and ethics committee requirements
Advise on patient recruitment and decentralized trial elements
Advise on interactions with investigators, institutions, and vendors
Partner with Regulatory, Clinical Development, and other functions
Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies
Draft, review, and negotiate R&D agreements
Negotiate clinical trial, central-vendor, and clinical-supply agreements
Negotiate technology and services agreements
Advise on regional implementation of global R&D policies
Identify local-law adaptations or escalations
Monitor legal and regulatory developments
Assess business impact of legal developments
Communicate actionable guidance to stakeholders
Coordinate with Compliance, Privacy, and IP functions
Provide integrated advice and risk management
Support inspections, audits, and investigations
Support dispute and remediation activities
Develop and deliver training for R&D colleagues
Provide guidance on legal requirements and contracting
Contribute to the development of the R&D Legal function
Contribute to knowledge management and process improvement
Contribute to cross-regional collaboration
