- Provide technology direction to connect cloud services, local software, devices, communication, data, and AI.
- Define and maintain a multi-year technology strategy for Industrial IoT and AI.
- Translate strategy into clear roadmaps covering cloud, edge, devices, communication, data, and AI.
- Establish target architectures, technology principles, and decision guidance.
- Align technology roadmaps, dependencies, investment priorities, and lifecycle decisions.
- Make key trade-offs and capacity constraints transparent to decision-makers.
- Lead responsible adoption of AI and automation in software development and product improvement.
- Establish governance, oversight, quality controls, and IP protection for AI adoption.
- Provide direction to technical leaders, architects, and engineering teams.
- Develop technical capabilities through coaching, communities of practice, and governance.
- Promote reuse, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
