- Manage import, export, and cross-trade shipments
- Take ownership of assigned shipments from booking through final invoicing
- Ensure operational accuracy and timely execution of shipments
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international regulations
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Communicate and collaborate with customers, carriers, agents, authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Obtain and compare freight rates
- Prepare freight quotes
- Act as the main point of contact for clients
- Provide clients with shipment updates
- Address client inquiries
- Resolve client issues
- Identify and address shipping process issues or delays
- Implement corrective actions for shipping issues
- Ensure shipment profitability through cost control
- Verify vendor costs accurately
- Bill customers in a timely manner
- Manage customer invoicing
- Verify and process carrier invoices
- Process vendor invoices
- Ensure all shipments comply with international regulations
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs laws
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies
