Anforderungen
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Previous experience in energy, commodities or trading
- Big Four or similar audit/advisory experience
- Strong accounting expertise and understanding of transaction flow
- Previous exposure to commodity trading and/or derivatives accounting
- Good knowledge of IFRS and/or statutory accounting requirements
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- High level of autonomy and ownership
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with ERP and/or ETRM systems
- Advanced Excel skills and interest in data/digitalisation/automation
- Experience with Power Query, Power BI, SQL and/or Python
- Strong numerical and quantitative skills
- Continuous improvement and project management mindset
- Self-motivated with focus on process/control/efficiency enhancement
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Rigorous, analytical, pragmatic and solution-oriented
- Comfortable in fast-moving trading environment with competing priorities and deadlines
- Curious about trading flow, root causes, and process improvement
Aufgaben
- Ensure accurate accounting representation of trading activities
- Reconcile trading system outputs with accounting records
- Investigate discrepancies across positions, deals, accruals, invoices, and financial systems
- Review complex accounting and operational issues
- Identify posting, valuation, or process weaknesses
- Coordinate issue resolution with relevant teams
- Analyze outstanding balances, aged debt, accruals, and prior-period adjustments
- Analyze unresolved transactions
- Perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues
- Implement sustainable solutions with Trading Control, Middle Office, Back Office, and IT
- Oversee derivatives accounting, including futures, deliveries, and variation margin
- Manage intercompany P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Resolve discrepancies with Group entities
- Maintain and enhance internal control environment, including balance sheet and SOX controls
- Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors
- Ensure timely resolution of audit matters
- Support the Trading Accounting Manager
- Take ownership of delegated topics and responsibilities
- Act as a senior point of reference for team members
- Contribute to the development of less experienced team members
- Lead or contribute to projects related to ERP and ETRM systems
- Lead or contribute to projects related to reconciliation tools, reporting solutions, and automation
- Translate accounting and business requirements into system and process improvements
- Participate in testing and support implementation
- Use data and digital tools to improve Trading Accounting processes
