Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in biotechnology, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process engineering or USP operations
- Strong technical expertise in mammalian cell culture and GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Previous leadership and people management experience preferred
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English required
- German highly desirable
Aufgaben
- Plan, execute, and document manufacturing campaigns in USP
- Provide technical leadership for mammalian cell culture manufacturing
- Support technology transfers, process validation, and lifecycle management
- Ensure manufacturing adheres to cGMP requirements and procedures
- Prepare and execute risk assessments for SHE, EM, operations, and cleaning
- Act as manufacturing subject matter expert during audits and inspections
- Serve as manufacturing expert for capital projects and commissioning
- Drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Ensure technical standardization across the USP organization
- Provide line management, leadership, coaching, and development to Bioprocess Engineers
- Set objectives, establish priorities, and manage direct report performance
- Ensure effective allocation of Bioprocess Engineer resources
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of talent
- Conduct performance reviews, talent assessments, and succession planning
- Act as the primary escalation point for technical and personnel matters
- Partner with USP Shift Team Leads for alignment between manufacturing and engineering
- Support the Head USP in operational planning and strategic initiatives
