- German at C1 or better
- Fluent English
- NRW-based or willing to work hybrid
- Experience with solver internals (nice to have)
- Performance work on numerical or compiled code (nice to have)
- DSL or compiler work (nice to have)
- Production planning, supply chain or logistics domain knowledge (nice to have)
- Structured and action-oriented
- Proven track record of success
- Prioritization of product deadlines over research freedom
- Preference for measuring over rewriting engines
- Comfort working within abstractions
- Willingness to handle data work
- Proactive approach to tasks
Aufgaben
- Model customer planning problems with capacities, costs, and shift plans
- Incorporate data from ERP and Excel exports into models
- Identify and correct inaccurate data before customer submission
- Translate real customer problems into mathematical models
- Develop the engine that runs customer models
- Define abstraction layers and modeling vocabulary for user-built models
- Build and maintain the modeling interface for engineers and customers
- Ensure model outputs are actionable and defensible for planners
- Provide usable responses for 'impossible' scenarios, detailing rule collisions and bending costs
- Scale models to cover multiple sites and extended periods with harder constraints
- Ensure concurrent customer model execution without interference
- Develop features from initial concept through to production deployment
