Anforderungen
- Relevant work experience in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, or similar field
- Independent way of working
- Exceptional team spirit and communication skills
- High motivation, flexibility, reliability, and strong sense of responsibility
- Motivation for practical and theoretical work
- Hands-on experience with cultivation and handling of genetically modified microorganisms
- Experience with bioreactor fermentation in lab-scale (non-GMP) for recombinant microbial production
- Experience with pilot scale bioreactors or GMP manufacturing is advantageous
- Strong focus on Komagataella phaffii (Pichia pastoris) and/or Escherichia coli is advantageous
- Creative and independent thinking and development of innovative solutions
- Structured approach to problem solving tasks in a scientifically based manner
- Experience with microbiological methods and typical fermentation related analytics
- Experience with automated fermentation systems is a plus
- Experience with large scale recombinant production processes is a plus
- Fluent English and German

- Develop, optimize, scale-up, and transfer USP processes
- Work independently as a member of a cross-functional team
- Design, plan, execute, and evaluate experiments
- Apply state-of-the-art process-relevant methods
- Analyze and interpret data
- Present results to an international audience
- Prepare written reports of results
- Support production facilities with troubleshooting
- Test and evaluate process changes at laboratory scale
- Test and evaluate process changes at pilot scale
- Optimize the fermentation process
- Ensure robust operation
