Anforderungen
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or modern data platforms
- Strong expertise in Databricks and cloud-based data platforms, ideally within Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Experience building robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and batch processing; streaming experience advantageous
- Strong Python and SQL skills; PySpark and/or Spark SQL experience is a plus
- Experience in data modelling and designing reusable, consumption-oriented data models
- Familiarity with dbt or comparable data transformation, testing, and documentation frameworks desirable
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of data quality, observability, monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance optimisation
- Knowledge of SAP environments, S/4HANA, and integration of SAP/non-SAP data sources
- Understanding of data governance topics (access control, metadata, lineage, catalogues, classification); Unity Catalog experience a plus
- Experience coordinating external developers or service providers desirable
- Structured, pragmatic, hands-on working style; strong communication skills
Aufgaben
- Implement, ensure quality, and operate data products on the Döhler data platform
- Develop data products based on the Shared Data Foundation
- Ensure high engineering standards via testing, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident analysis
- Develop standards, templates, and components for integration, transformation, orchestration, and documentation
- Deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions in Databricks
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Data Governance teams
- Provide technical support to Domain Leads for requirements, estimation, design, and deployment
- Own technical documentation, runbooks, operational handovers, and productive data product stability
