Anforderungen
- Master’s degree or equivalent in analytical chemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry, molecular life sciences or related discipline
- Strong theoretical and practical background in analytical chemistry
- Practical experience with liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and mass spectrometry is desirable
- Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry, lipidomics, metabolomics, method development or biological sample preparation is advantageous
- Experience in cell culture, molecular or cellular biology is advantageous
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis and programming in R and/or Python, or strong willingness to acquire these skills
- Careful, structured and independent working style, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Valid proof of measles immunity / vaccination
Aufgaben
- Plan, conduct, and document experiments in cellular models
- Prepare biological samples for LC-HRMS lipidomics and metabolomics
- Perform LC-HRMS-based lipidomics and metabolomics measurements
- Further develop analytical workflows for lipidomics and metabolomics
- Perform GC-HRMS-based analysis of fatty acids
- Conduct LC-MS/MS measurements of lipid mediators
- Perform quality control and raw-data validation
- Perform data annotation and statistical analysis of mass spectrometry datasets
- Develop and apply workflows for data processing using R and/or Python
- Develop and apply workflows for data visualization using R and/or Python
- Develop and apply workflows for data interpretation using R and/or Python
- Integrate lipidomics data with imaging-based datasets
- Integrate lipidomics data with proteomics-based datasets
- Interpret lipidomics data with complementary datasets
- Validate selected findings with project partners
- Present research results in scientific publications
- Present research results in project meetings
- Present research results at national conferences
- Present research results at international conferences
