  • Proven track record steering external development partners
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools
  • Good understanding of SAP Fiori Design Guidelines and UX principles
  • Advantageous experience with SAP BTP, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP AI Core/Generative AI Hub, CI/CD (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Proactive, analytical, structured working style
  • Ability to drive standards through expertise and persuasion
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong ability to manage expectations and balance priorities
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken)
  • Interest in innovative technologies and new trends

Aufgaben

  • Hold overall technical responsibility for SAP development and SAP UX governance
  • Steer external nearshore development partners functionally and technically
  • Review solution designs and effort estimates from development partners
  • Establish design guidelines and interaction concepts
  • Define quality and delivery standards for development partners
  • Evaluate performance of development partners
  • Build and evolve global SAP development governance with binding guidelines
  • Enforce development standards for internal developers and offshore support teams
  • Establish quality gates such as architecture and code reviews
  • Define testing strategies, ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), and transport/release processes
  • Define the clean core strategy and roadmap
  • Analyze and reduce existing custom code and modifications
  • Move new developments to ABAP Cloud development model and released APIs
  • Track progress with measurable clean core KPIs
  • Define the extensibility strategy for SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP
  • Define standards for APIs, integrations, and event-driven architectures
  • Drive the introduction of AI into SAP development
  • Define guidelines for the responsible use of AI in development
  • Develop the SAP UX strategy
  • Lead the transition from SAP GUI to SAP Fiori
  • Define standards for the Fiori launchpad, spaces & pages, business catalogs, and role models
  • Support S/4HANA transformation program with architecture decisions
  • Introduce modern development tools and practices
  • Coach internal developers
  • Build an SAP developer community
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
