Anforderungen
- Vocational training, Master's or Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline with extensive hands-on oligonucleotide synthesis experience
- Strong practical expertise in solid-phase synthesis, deprotection, purification, and analytical characterization of oligonucleotides including method development and optimization
- Sound knowledge of oligonucleotide conjugates, linker chemistry, and bioconjugation approaches
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation for oligonucleotide synthesis and analysis; experience setting up or managing an oligonucleotide laboratory is highly desirable
- Interest in innovative RNA therapeutics and modern drug discovery
- Independent, structured, and reliable working style
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with willingness to acquire basic German language skills
Aufgaben
- Drive technical execution of siRNA projects
- Execute solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis at research to mid-scale using RNA synthesizers
- Apply routine and next-generation phosphoramidite chemistries
- Plan, optimize, and troubleshoot methods to improve coupling, capping, deprotection, cleavage, yield, purity, and scalability
- Plan, optimize, and troubleshoot oligonucleotide conjugation chemistries
- Coordinate and perform purification of oligonucleotides
- Coordinate and perform desalting of oligonucleotides
- Coordinate and perform analytical characterization of oligonucleotides
- Operate critical laboratory instrumentation
- Maintain critical laboratory instrumentation
- Troubleshoot critical laboratory instrumentation
- Take accountability for the oligonucleotide synthesis facility
- Train Laboratory Scientists
- Coordinate Laboratory Scientists
- Provide technical guidance to the team
- Foster knowledge sharing across the team
- Document results with high accuracy and reproducibility
- Contribute to patent applications
- Provide technical expertise as a hands-on point of contact for synthesis questions in project teams
- Provide technical expertise as a hands-on point of contact for purification questions in project teams
