Anforderungen
- Recognized professional finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Highly advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities, comfortable building DCF, IRR, NPV, and complex scenario-analysis models from scratch
- Proven track record in commercial finance or business partnering role within high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, defense, deep tech, automotive, or capital-intensive engineering
- Extensive experience building, presenting, and defending robust business cases to senior executives, with appetite for challenging operational assumptions
- Familiarity with European defense procurement processes (e.g., German Bundeswehr, UK MoD) and commercial auditing requirements of government cost-plus contracts
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-finance professionals and inspire cost/margin prioritization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in German & English

Aufgaben
- Lead financial appraisal of new initiatives
- Build and stress-test complex business cases for R&D programmes, software features, and hardware platforms
- Model and track key investment metrics, including IRR, NPV, Payback Period, and ROIC
- Guide capital allocation across competing engineering projects
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals for manufacturing scale-up
- Lead cross-functional financial evaluations for in-house vs. external sourcing
- Present data-driven recommendations to the leadership team
- Partner with engineering teams to embed financial discipline in product lifecycle
- Track Bill of Materials (BOM) cost evolution from prototyping to production
- Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to map supplier networks
- Analyze material and logistical cost drivers
- Support supplier negotiations with cost-insight data
- Run lean cost-improvement workshops
- Manage inventory levels with supply chain and treasury teams
- Mitigate obsolescence risk for long-lead-time components
- Optimize working capital profiles for long-lead-time components
- Support Commercial and Business Development teams on major defense bids
- Build pricing and margin models for defense contract structures
- Own financial tracking of major programs
- Monitor actual performance against business-case baselines
- Identify margin leakage, supply chain cost overruns, or R&D slippages
- Co-develop corrective action plans
- Develop, track, and present commercial KPI dashboards
- Present dashboards to programme leadership and senior finance executives
