Anforderungen
- University degree in technical discipline or vocational training with professional experience
- Several years hands-on experience designing, building, qualifying, or troubleshooting complex PC and server platforms
- Strong understanding of system architectures and interactions
- Proven ability to analyze system performance and optimize Windows/Linux platforms
- Experience documenting technical findings and converting into reproducible engineering solutions
- Background in product engineering, IT infrastructure, broadcast technology, high-performance computing, embedded systems, or similar performance-critical environments
- Experience with real-time media processing, broadcast video workflows, virtualization, hardware lifecycle management, or ruggedized systems is a strong advantage
- Fluent English and German skills
- Collaborative, hands-on mindset
- Passion for solving complex technical challenges
Aufgaben
- Own and evolve the COTS hardware platform foundation
- Evaluate, qualify, and optimize system architectures and interactions
- Translate requirements into platform solutions
- Configure and tune Windows and Linux systems
- Define and execute qualification strategies
- Develop and maintain platform configurations, system images, and firmware baselines
- Drive hardware lifecycle management and component selection
- Act as the technical expert for platform hardware
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality teams
