2+ years as AI Engineer or equivalent
Experience with distributed event streaming platforms (Apache Kafka)
Backend services in strongly typed language (Rust, Scala, Go, or similar)
AI/ML fundamentals and model optimization knowledge
Understanding of NLP, LLMs, RAG, embedding models
Cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines experience
Highly concurrent backend systems with durable state and fault tolerance
MLOps, LLM evaluation, model lifecycle management knowledge
Responsible AI, security, compliance in production systems (AWS guardrails, response style tuning)
Preferably graph databases (Neo4j, AWS Neptune)
Quick thinking and acting with minimal/no supervision
Self-driven, independent, creative, eager to learn
Ability to work with incomplete information
Great communication skills

Aufgaben

Design and develop AI architecture foundations
Define data collection and modeling frameworks
Implement, maintain, and improve classification pipelines
Implement, maintain, and improve inference for AI models
Improve application performance using quantitative metrics and business KPIs
Design scalable, automated data pipelines using Apache Kafka
Explore and implement classification solutions with Data Scientists
Collaborate with other AI Engineering teams on cross-product efforts
