Anforderungen
- Solid, hands-on data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar data role experience
- Depth in dimensional modelling (grain, keys, SCDs)
- Advanced SQL and query optimisation on BigQuery or Vertica
- Hands-on dbt experience and comfort with orchestration (Airflow, Cloud Composer)
- Working knowledge of business area and connecting data to outcomes
- Track record of working with non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- AI-assisted ways of working with agentic assistants
- Python for automation and lightweight services
- Data contracts, testing frameworks, or data observability tooling
- Experience as reference data person embedded in business team
- Semantic or metric layers for BI tools and AI agents
- Experience in Travel, OTA, marketplace, or high-volume transactional business
- Legally authorised to work in country of employment

- Define the data model for your business area
- Establish entities, granularity, and dimensional models
- Define key metrics and their definitions
- Determine the source of truth for data
- Set the boundaries of the business area
- Own and document data definitions
- Compute data definitions in one place
- Ensure consistent data values across consumption points
- Co-own the business's KPI set
- Define KPIs and their evolution
- Reframe business questions when they are the problem
- Agree on priorities for ongoing work with stakeholders
- Set priorities for the wider roadmap with your manager
- Determine what work can be postponed or deprioritized
- Perform analysis sized to the business area
- Balance analysis and development based on business area needs
- Build validation rules on your models
- Implement monitoring on your models
- Catch data issues before they reach dashboards or stakeholders
- Handle data issues end-to-end when they occur
- Find the root cause of data issues
- Explain the business impact of data issues
- Fix data issues
- Add tests to prevent recurrence of data issues
- Document reusable models for the department
- Contribute to shared glossaries
- Provide AI context
- Develop automations for the department
