- Build and maintain the Feature Store
- Build and maintain data pipelines
- Build and maintain data quality systems
- Build and maintain data architecture
- Translate Data Science requirements into high-performance streams
- Enable Data Scientists to contribute new features
- Implement features when needed
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in complex ETL jobs
- Handle high-volume batch processing
- Handle real-time streaming systems like Kafka
- Design robust, multi-layered data architectures using dbt
- Reason about storage formats
- Reason about Data Lakehouse models
- Reason about data placement in a 1PB+ data lake
- Work closely with Data Scientists on online ML systems
- Ensure low latency requirements for ML systems
- Make experimental research production-ready
- Implement data validation in production
- Implement data monitoring in production
- Implement data governance processes in production
