- Extensive hands-on experience as ML Engineer, ML-focused Software Engineer, or Data Scientist with strong engineering experience
- Built and operated production-grade ML systems, pipelines, or model-based products

Aufgaben
- Design, develop, and operate production-grade ML systems
- Create relevant and personalized product experiences
- Create measurable business value
- Collaborate with Data & AI department colleagues
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership for the Recommendations product
- Define ML system architecture and technical direction
- Define the longer-term evolution of ML systems
- Design, build, and operate ML systems for recommendation use cases
- Translate ambiguous requirements into scalable ML solutions
- Balance model quality, latency, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Lead technical design and architectural decisions for complex ML initiatives
- Navigate trade-offs across modeling, data, infrastructure, and product requirements
- Develop robust ML pipelines for feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous model improvement
- Bring models into production using our cloud-based stack
- Ensure models are reliable, observable, and maintainable
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and opportunities across the recommendation stack
- Drive improvements to increase system effectiveness and scalability
- Communicate technical decisions, assumptions, limitations, and uncertainty to stakeholders
- Raise the technical bar through design reviews
- Mentor team members
- Share knowledge with the team
- Establish ML engineering standards and best practices
