- Lead direct relationships with Employee Representatives and Works Councils
- Negotiate agreements with Employee Representatives and Works Councils
- Ensure compliance with labor laws across Germany & CEE
- Foster a constructive social climate to support transformation and growth
- Lead negotiations on shop agreements regarding IT systems, mobile work, and restructuring in Germany
- Manage co-determination rights in Germany
- Lead the relationship with the Austrian Works Council
- Navigate Austrian 'Social Partnership' and negotiate local shop agreements
- Lead the relationship with Works Councils in Romania and Czech Republic
- Ensure a consistent social strategy across Germany & CEE cluster
- Respect local legislative nuances in social strategy
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to HR Country
- Manage complex individual labor law cases across the region
- Draft termination notices
- Negotiate mutual separation agreements
- Handle disciplinary measures
- Maintain and update standard employment contract templates for Germany, Austria, Romania, and Czech Republic
- Ensure employment contracts comply with local case law
- Legally structure and execute organizational changes across the region
- Legally structure and execute §613a BGB transfers in Germany
- Legally structure and execute AVRAG transfers in Austria
- Roll out Group compliance policies
- Ensure GDPR compliance across the region
- Ensure Whistleblowing policy compliance across the region
- Ensure Code of Conduct compliance across the region
- Meet strict data privacy standards of Germany
- Meet specific requirements of the Austrian market
- Represent the company in labor court proceedings in Germany
- Select and manage external legal counsel in Austria, Romania, and Czech Republic
- Manage external legal counsel for specific litigation
- Manage external legal counsel for high-risk cases
- Ensure cost control with external legal counsel
- Ensure alignment with Group strategy with external legal counsel
