Anforderungen
- Advanced university degree in Aerospace/Industrial Engineering, Material Science or related field
- Understanding of aerospace design and manufacturing ecosystem
- In-depth knowledge of metallic materials and manufacturing techniques
- CATIA/3DX, CATIA CAM functionalities, Advanced Machining Toolbox
- Professional experience with metallic parts design and manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with metallic manufacturing processes
- Experience with CATIA’s manufacturing sibling, Delmia (nice to have)
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Knowledge in German (advantageous)
- Creative approach to solving complex industrial challenges
- Design for Manufacturing & Assembly mindset
- Ability to work in a changing, unplanned environment, making assumptions

Aufgaben
- Select materials and manufacturing processes supporting product and manufacturing needs
- Collaborate with Airframe Design and Materials & Processes departments
- Analyze digital mock-ups for manufacturability, cost, and schedule impacts
- Contribute to cost assessments and trade-off studies
- Define manufacturing process sequences for metallic parts
- Ensure appropriate tools and suppliers are in place
- Work with Jigs & Tools and Extended Enterprise functions
- Contribute to airframe structural assembly build processes
- Develop assembly concepts with Manufacturing Engineering Assembly Specialists
- Adapt CAD designs of metallic parts for manufacturing and assembly stages
- Support make/buy decisions and early supplier/process qualification
- Support first article build, process validation, and production transition
- Ensure manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions comply with standards
- Participate in technology and innovation projects to close technology gaps
- Improve time and cost through R&T/R&D initiatives
- Advance Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)
